Guardium CLI-> restart network fail with error host/network not found

Troubleshooting


Problem

You attempt to run CLI command 'restart network' and you see error: osprey.ibm.com> restart network yesyou really want to restart network? Cause

Most of the times, the host/network that shows in the error message is not reachable, or customer is not aware about it.

Resolving The Problem

You can check if the server is listed with cli command 'show system ntp server'. Check with your Network team if there is an issue with the host/network that shows in the error message, or you can delete the NTP server with cli command 'delete ntp-server'.


osprey.ibm.com> delete ntp-server
USAGE: delete ntp-server
The system will display the NTP server.
Enter YES (y) to remove the NTP server
Enter NO (n) not to remove the NTP server.
NTP server list:
osprey01.ibm.com
osprey02.ibm.com
Do you want to remove ntp server: osprey01.ibm.com ?
Please answer Yes or No. Yes

Do you want to remove ntp server: osprey02.ibm.com ?
Please answer Yes or No.

CLI -> restart network

If the above was not able to resolve the problem, a PMR can be opened with Guardium support.
