Abstract: Attempts to install a WebSphere Application Server feature pack using a response file may fail with errors Problem: You have created a response file to install or upgrade an instance of WebSphere Application Server. While running this silent installation, it fails stating that the installation process is unable to delete a certain file. Local fix: There is no known workaround at this time.

Problem conclusion
Delay file deletion until after post install. The fix for this APAR is included in Rational Application Developer v8.0.4.1.
