Problem
Cognos Analytics 11 will not list the uploaded files located in My Content under the source- uploaded files while creating the Data Modules.
Symptom
The Uploaded files section will only list the files that are present in Team Content and not in My Content as shown in below screen shot.
Resolving The Problem
Steps to resolve the issue:
1. Stop Cognos Analytics Services.
2. Move the folder <Cognos install directory>/data/search/indices folder to a safe location.
3. Start Cognos Analytics services.
When services are started, the search indices will get automatically updated and the files from Team Content will be shown under Sources (uploaded files) of data modules.
Note: The above suggestion is applicable only for 11.0.0. Also, this operation temporarily disables search file function until the search index is rebuilt.
