Troubleshooting
Problem
Co-Installation of IBM Rational Application Developer and IBM Rational Software Architect Designer fails if the user selects the Eclipse eGit Team provider option in both the products during installation.
Symptom
The following error dialog window appears:
Cause
If the eGit versions used in both IBM Rational Application Developer and IBM Rational Software Architect Designer products are different, the co-installation using the 'Eclipse Git Team provider' install option fails in both the products.
Resolving The Problem
If the 'Eclipse Git Team provider' feature is not required, ensure the option is not selected during installation in both the products.
If the 'Eclipse Git Team provider' feature is required, ensure 'Eclipse Git Team provider' option is selected in only one of the products.
