Error description
Deploying a Worklight project war file to WAS fails or produces a wrong datasource configuration if a database connection password contains a backslash.
Local fix
Use a password without backslashes.
Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: * * Users of Worklight Server 6.0.0.0, in combination with * * WebSphere Application Server Full Profile. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: * * Python syntax errors or database access errors can occur. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * * - * **************************************************************** When passwords with backslashes are being passed to wsadmin, the backslash is interpreted as the start of an escape sequence, thus producing a Python syntax error or a different password.
Problem conclusion
The code now doubles backslashes in arguments to wsadmin, to neutralize the escape sequence interpretation. The fix for this APAR is currently available in fixpack 6.0.0.1.
