  *                 used by Compare.                             *

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: DB2 Object Comparison Tool for z/OS     *
  *                      selects an incorrect default DSSIZE     *
  *                      for partition-by-growth (PBG) table     *
  *                      space when the PBG table space has      *
  *                      MAXPARTITIONS greater than 264.         *
  *                                                              *
  *                      According to the rule of DB2, for       *
  *                      partitioned table space, if DSSIZE      *
  *                      is not explicitly specified in the      *
  *                      CREATE TABLESPACE DDL statement,        *
  *                      DB2 chooses the default DSSIZE          *
  *                      value according to the page size        *
  *                      of the table space when the number      *
  *                      of partitions is greater than 254.      *
  *                      Object Compare incorrectly sets the     *
  *                      default DSSIZE value for PBG table      *
  *                      space which causes an unexpected        *
  *                      change on the DSSIZE reported in        *
  *                      the Comparison report.                  *

  DB2 Object Comparison Tool for z/OS selects incorrect default
  DSSIZE for partition-by-growth (PBG) table space when the PBG
  table space has MAXPARTITIONS greater than 254.
  
  According to the rule of DB2, for partitioned table space,
  if DSSIZE is not explicitly specified in the CREATE TABLESPACE
  DDL statement, DB2 chooses the default DSSIZE value according
  to the page size of the table space when the number of
  partitions is greater than 254.  Object Compare incorrectly
  sets the default DSSIZE value for the PBG table space which
  causes an unexpected change on the DSSIZE reported in the
  Comparison Report.
  

Problem conclusion

• The problem has been fixed by setting the correct default
  DSSIZE value for the PBG table space according to the rule
  of DB2.
