Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM WebSphere Application * * Server * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: GDM and AspectJ classes are visible to * * the whole application server. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** Due to the way GDM and AspectJ libraries were made available to the application server runtime for use by the Service Mapping component, these classes could be loaded in almost any context in the application server, including other server components and user applications. This can result in problems for stack products or applications that use GDM or AspectJ.
Problem conclusion
This APAR resolves the problem by using mandatory attributes on the GDM and AspectJ pacakages to prevent them being visible to bundles that do not specify the attribute on their imports. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 8.5.5.1.
