Records inserted in YFS_INVENTORY_ACTIVITY table for nodes not in RTAM monitored DG

Question & Answer

Question

Why are records inserted in YFS_INVENTORY_ACTIVITY table for the nodes which do not belong to the Distribution Group(DG) part of the RTAM monitoring group?

Answer

This is working as expected. Records are inserted into the YFS_INVENTORY_ACTIVITY table for every inventory change (demand and supply). So when you have an item which is adjusted
using eg. adjustInventory API, a record gets inserted in this table irrespective of the node being part of RTAM monitoring DG.
However, records for item are inserted only when
1. The flag "Use Activity based Real time availability monitor" is checked under Inventory rules and
2. The ATP monitor rule is setup at item configuration level.

RTAM DG comes into picture when records need to be consumed from YFS_INVENTORY_ACTIVITY table to create records about inventory alerts in the YFS_INVENTORY_ALERT table.

Note : Information about the table can be found in ERD documentation.
