Error description
A relatively simple crosstab report based on a CQM model executes without error and returns the output in seconds. The same report based on an equivalent DQM model hangs. The file ..\logs\XQE\dq_verbosegc_<date>.nnnnnn.nnnn.log.001 has the same set of output written every second and the ..\temp\XQE\xqe_XHashGroupByIterator_nnnnnnnnnnnn_nn.tmp file grows to over 300MBytes.
Local fix
There is a simple work around for this issue and it has better p erformance than using running-count aggregate. When using rank(d istinct()) instead of running-count() in the report spec, we con vert rank(distinct()) to Dense_rank() which is supported by Info rmix and the whole SQL can be pushed to the database, no local p rocessing is triggered, no memory issue. From <dataItem aggrega te="none" name="Gegevensitem1"> <expression>running-count ([ Product type] for [Product line code] )</expression> </dataItem> To <dataItem aggregate="none" name="Gegevensitem1"> <expre ssion>rank (distinct [Product type] ASC for [Product line code] )</expression> </dataItem> and set Pre-defined sort="ascending" on the data item "Product number" in the query "Query1". With this work around, I get the same result as in classic in some se conds too.
