Problem conclusion
Problem has been resolved. The message has been updated to deliver accurate and clear information for the situation. DB2 has the following requirements on defining large objects: If the base table is nonpartitioned, user must create one LOB table space and one auxiliary table for each LOB column. If the base table is partitioned, user must create one LOB table space and one auxiliary table for each LOB column in each partition. According to this DB2 requirements, DB2 Object Compare performs consistency check while processing the LOB objects. If it is found that on source, the number of LOB objects is not consistent with the number of LOB columns, DB2 Object Compare will recreate the LOB objects implicitly to ensure the LOB objects are defined completely after applying the changes. The following message will be issued to inform the user of the situation. For non-partitioned table space: ADB7162I The number of auxiliary tables on source is not consistent with the number of LOB columns. The LOB objects will be recreated implicitly. Please check there is one auxiliary table for each LOB column after applying the changes. For partitioned table space: ADB7163I The number of auxiliary tables on source is not consistent with the number of LOB columns and the number of partitions of the table space. The LOB objects will be recreated implicitly. Please check there is one auxiliary table for each LOB column in each partition after applying the changes.
