Error description
With RFT 8.2.x, Some of the double-byte characters are missed during playback. However a workaround exists by, Increase the value for 'Delay before key down' from default 0.001 to 0.1 ('Delay before key down' is in Window ? preferences ? playback ? Delays page)

**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** Some double-byte characters are missed during playback.
Problem conclusion
for playback of double-byte characters, we let the IME process the key event. There is no return from the IME and hence we do not wait for a response. Since we are dependent on the IME for a successful response and this is not possible, nothing can be done from the RFT end to ensure that the double-byte character is played back in the default time. In the case where RFT starts to process the next event and if IME has not processed the event for the double-byte character, the double-byte character is lost.
