Some actions still pending after NC_DROP script run - Reschedule

Troubleshooting


Problem

After initially experiencing a problem where all scheduled actions (jobs, reports and events) remain stuck in pending status, the NC_DROP script is run to resolve the problem. This is advised in the technote found under "Related information" below. After doing this, the problem is resolved for most actions but some actions remain stuck in pending.

Resolving The Problem

Disable the schedule, then re-enable it.

Steps:

1) Locate the schedule in Cognos Connection.

2) Click on the 'Schedule - <action name>' button beside it.

3) Check the 'Disable the schedule' checkbox.

4) Click 'OK.'

5) Go to Cognos Administration and select the 'Upcoming Activities' tab.

6) Ensure that the scheduled actions no longer appear.

7) Return to the action in Cognos Connection and click on the schedule button beside it.

8) Uncheck the 'Disable the schedule' checkbox and click 'OK.'

The actions should now run at the scheduled time.
