Troubleshooting
Problem
You cannot locate a recently added Event in the Trigger combo box for a Transition in IBM Rational Rhapsody.
Symptom
You also cannot create a new Event directly in the Trigger combo box.
Steps to reproduce:
Scenario 1
- Draw a Transition on a diagram.
- View the Features window for that Transition.
- Observe that you cannot see a recently created Event in the Trigger combo box.
Scenario 2
- Draw a Transition on a diagram.
- Viewed the Features window for that Transition
- Attempt to use the <NEW> option in the Trigger combo box to create a new Event.
- Return to the Features window for the Transition and see that the Trigger combo box is empty.
Cause
The number of elements on display in the Trigger combo box is limited. If more elements fit on that list in the current scope, the Events do not appear.
Diagnosing The Problem
You can select other Events in the same scope. You cannot reproduce this problem through a sample model or certain other models. For these model apply that there are only a few Events, or the Events are distributed across multiple Component scopes.
Resolving The Problem
Consider the following steps.
- Open Rhapsody.ini.
- Locate the [General] section
- Add the following entry on a new line in the [General] section.
MaxComboBoxSize=20000
- Save the changes to the Rhapsody.ini file; then, close the file.
