The ibmproxy.conf can be back to the default while you apply a fix to Caching Proxy

Troubleshooting

Problem

If you use a configuration file of Edge Component Caching Proxy "ibmproxy.conf" under the non-en_US locale in UNIX/Linux environment, the ibmproxy.conf will be back to the default settings while you apply a fix to the Caching Proxy.

Cause

In UNIX/Linux environment, A Caching Proxy let the Installation Manager backup only the ibmproxy.conf under the en_US locale such as /opt/ibm/edge/cp/etc/en_US/ibmproxy.conf and restore it while you apply a fix to the Caching Proxy. This would be occurred even though you have changed the symbolic link of /etc/ibmproxy.conf to the ibmproxy.conf under non-en_US locale manually. The symbolic link also would be back to the default setting, so that it would point to the ibmproxy.conf under the en_US locale even though you have changed it manually.

Resolving The Problem

You can backup the ibmproxy.conf before applying a fix and restore it after doing it. You can also check the symbolic link of /etc/ibmproxy.conf and manually change it to the one that you want it to point out.
