How do I upgrade to QRadar Incident Forensics V7.2.5?
Answer
Due to architectural changes to QRadar®, upgrading to QRadar Incident Forensics V7.2.5 requires assistance from IBM. To retain your forensics data, you must contact your IBM sales representative to schedule an upgrade.
Important: QRadar Incident Forensics V7.2.5 works only with QRadar V7.2.5.
Choose an upgrade path from the following choices:
- To upgrade from QRadar Incident Forensics V7.2.3 to QRadar Incident Forensics V7.2.5, you must first upgrade to QRadar Incident Forensics V7.2.4.
- To upgrade from QRadar Incident Forensics V7.2.4, or earlier, keep your forensics data, you upgrade directly to V7.2.5 by performing a new installation.
- To upgrade from QRadar Incident Forensics V7.2.4, or earlier, and keep your forensics data, you must back up your QRadar Incident Forensics V7.2.4 data, and then restore the data in V7.2.5. Contact your IBM sales representative to schedule the upgrade.
What to do next:
You must reconnect any QRadar Packet Capture devices that were in your QRadar Incident Forensics V7.2.4 deployments. For more information, see the Security QRadar Incident Forensics Installation Guide.
