How to override the property yfs.httpOnlyCookie in customer_overrides.properties file in IBM Sterling Order Management

Question & Answer

Question

How do you override the property yfs.httpOnlyCookie in customer_overrides.properties file in IBM Sterling Order Management?

Cause

Cookies created by the product can be accesses through HTTP/HTTPS only.

Answer

yfs.properties file contains the property yfs.httpOnlyCookie and has the Default value set to true, As a result cookies created by the product can be accessed through HTTP/HTTPs only. If this needs to be overridden then yfs.httpOnlyCookie needs to be set to false.

As per property overriding rules, in order to override this property under customer_overrides.properties file, this property should be used as yfs.yfs.httpOnlyCookie. However, this override does not work.

In order to successfully override this property, the property name should be mentioned as yfs.httpOnlyCookie instead of yfs.yfs.httpOnlyCookie under customer_overrides.properties file.

For Example:

yfs.httpOnlyCookie=false

This httpOnly Cookie related property also needs to be set at application server level. Please refer to application server specific guide in order to set this property at application server level.
