Why does DB2 crash when using Vintella Authentication Services (VAS) plug-ins for authentication ?
Cause
The following db2diag.log messages can be dumped during the crash:

Additionally, the stack of the failing thread would be as follows, where top most function is a VAS function:

These indicate that the crash is due to a failure in VAS libraries and not within DB2 code.

This is not a problem with DB2. Please engage Quest Support to help fix the issue with VAS.
