Is Tivoli Performance Viewer (TPV) included with the Liberty Core edition of WebSphere Application Server v8.5 ?

Tivoli Performance Viewer (TPV) is not embedded in the Liberty Core edition of Websphere Application Server (WAS) v8.5. The TPV is embedded with the full profile editions (Base and Network Deployment) of the WAS v8.5 server.

Starting in WAS v6.0, the TPV was embedded in the administration console (i.e. Integrated Solutions Console). The WAS v8.5 Liberty Core edition is a lightweight Liberty profile-based only edition that does not include an administration console.

The WAS v8.5 Liberty profile introduced the Monitor feature. The Monitor feature is used for collecting performance data from different components in the Liberty profile. The Monitor feature in Liberty is different from the full profile editions (Base, Network Deployment) PMI. The Monitor feature collects performance data during runtime and the monitoring data is reported as standard MXBeans. In the Liberty Core edition you can use JConsole to view the collected performance data by clicking each attribute of the MXBean.
