Sterling Control Center console issues with JRE 1.7 release 51

Troubleshooting


Problem

After client system JRE is updated to release 51 the Sterling Control Center Console will no longer start from the web launch.

Symptom

Missing Application-Name manifest attribute
#### Java Web Start Error:
#### Missing required Permissions manifest attribute in main jar

Cause

JRE update

Diagnosing The Problem

Console will no longer launch and gives Java errors

Resolving The Problem

As a work around, the user can use Exception Site list feature to run the applications blocked by security settings. By adding the URL of the blocked application to the Exception Site list allows it to run with some warnings. (See link below)

Sterling Control Center development is working on a fix for this issue.
