RTAM in full-sync mode not publishing inventory against GTIN number

Troubleshooting

Problem

RTAM publishes gross inventory multiple times against multiple items sharing same GTIN, when run in full sync mode, thus publishing redundant information

Cause

Working as designed. Sterling OMS maintains inventory information only at the item level and not at the GTIN level. So RTAM cannot publish inventory at GTIN level. A workaround could be adopted as below.

Resolving The Problem

The idea should be to identify/mark only one of the items (say I1) as an identifier item (instead of expecting GTIN number to be the identifier) among a group of items (I2, I3, I4 . . . etc) sharing same GTIN and enable ATP monitor rule only for this identifier item while disabling it for the rest in the group and then replicating this configuration throughout all GTIN groups.
When RTAM is now run in full-sync mode, it would publish gross GTIN inventory (i.e inventory of I2 + I3 + I4 + . . .) only once and against identifier item I1.
