Error description
Script that removes preferred paths on a gpfs system fails.
Local fix
Problem summary
Script that removes preferred paths on a gpfs system fails.
Problem conclusion
The first disk will cause a fail over to the non-preferred path. Subsequent disks will have the preferred path switched to non-preferred so that it can be removed. On systems using gpfs it is advisable to insert a 3 second wait between path removal calls. This will ensure that the preceding disk has completed before trying to remove the path of the next disk.
