Troubleshooting
Problem
Attempts to generate or regenerate does not generate new code or report errors in IBM Rational Rhapsody.
Symptom
The following message is displayed but no new source code is generated:
Code Generation Done
0 Error(s), 0 Warning(s), 0 Message(s)
Cause
When code generation was working in the past and you suddenly see that no new code is generated, then the reason can be the existence of the package CGSimplifiedModelPackage
.
This package is automatically created by the code generator and for internal usage only. By default it is hidden by the property <C or CPP>_CG::Configuration::ShowCgSimplifiedModelPackage
.
Code generation fails when another not automatically created package with the same name CGSimplifiedModelPackage
exists in your model.
Reasons can be:
- Someone manually created or renamed a package to
CGSimplifiedModelPackage
. - The package was imported by Add to Model.
- The package was added to configuration management and checked out to your model.
Diagnosing The Problem
Check the model if a manual added or created package with the name CGSimplifiedModelPackage
exists.
Resolving The Problem
To resolve the problem you must delete the package and regenerate the code.
If the package does not exist or after deleting the package you still do not get code you should contact Rational Client Support for further assistance.
