Error description
cl_ccv_comparator fails with following ERROR, when RG dependencies are configured in clusters being compared. UnboundLocalError: local variable 'defMsg' referenced before assignment This APAR also handles below problems as well. 1. Logical Volume always getting created with default name and user given name is ignored either from "smitty cspoc" or "clmgr add lv" like given below: # clmgr add lv lvname VOLUME_GROUP=cspocvg1 2. When a volume group is created on a single node and "clmgr query volume_group" command is executed from some other node of the cluster(where that volume group is not created) then it is listing that specific volume group. But if "clmgr query volume_group VG_NAME" command is executed then it is giving an error that "vg "VG_NAME" does not appear to exist". If the volume group is listed in "clmgr q volume_group" command then "clmgr q volume_group vg_name" command should show the attributes of that volume group.

Problem summary
cl_ccv_comparator fails with following ERROR, when RG dependencies are configured in clusters being compared. UnboundLocalError: local variable 'defMsg' referenced before assignment This APAR also handles below problems as well. 1. Logical Volume always getting created with default name and user given name is ignored either from "smitty cspoc" or "clmgr add lv" like given below: 2.
Problem conclusion
1. Modified the code to read the user given name properly and using that as Logical Volume Name. 2. After giving the fix, the user can fetch the result for "clmgr query volume_group vg_name" command from any of the cluster nodes whether the volume group is created on it or not. 3. Made changes to fix the ERROR message seen while performing CCV comparision between clusters configured with RG dependencies.
Temporary fix
