Unable to use Cut, Copy and Paste for an Internal Block Diagram in Rational Rhapsody

Troubleshooting


Problem

Attempts to use Cut, Copy and Paste on an IBD (Internal Block Diagram) in IBM Rational Rhapsody results in the commands being grayed out.

Symptom

You are unable to use Cut, Copy and Paste as the commands are grayed out:

Cause

The ability to copy, cut and paste a Structure diagram / IBD is determined according to the property
General::Graphics::StructureDiagramContext value.

The options are grayed out because the value of this property is set to ClassOwner.

Resolving The Problem

Set the value of the property General::Graphics::StructureDiagramContext as Default to enable the copy and reset (Un-override) the existing value.


Note: The InternalBlockDiagram has "ClassOwner" as the default value for this property.
