Problem

Running WASPreUpgrade and it fails with MIGR0272E: The migration function cannot complete the command.

Symptom

The command exits with MIGR0272E: The migration function cannot complete the command.
Trace shows: UpgradeBase > handleException Entry
com.ibm.wsspi.migration.document.exceptions.NotFoundException:
at com.ibm.ws.migration.document.BasicDocumentCollection.getChild(BasicDocumentCollection.java:465)
at com.ibm.ws.migration.utility.ProfileImpl.initializeOwningValues(ProfileImpl.java:355)
at com.ibm.ws.migration.utility.ProfileImpl.<init>(ProfileImpl.java:139)

Cause

Multiple copies of setupCmdLine script exist in the same directory with different extensions. The migration script checks for all of those files and it fails when the files contain node name or cell name that is different from the current one in the config.

Diagnosing The Problem

Search for multiple copies of setupCmdLine in the same directory with different extensions.

Resolving The Problem

Delete or move the invalid setupCmdLine files out of WebSphere directories, and only keep the one copy with current information.
