Problem
Attempts to connect to IBM Rational DOORS example database on Microsoft Windows 7 results in the error "Cannot connect to server".
Symptom
The full error message is as follows:
Cannot connect to server 36677@MyComputer
Server not Found
Cause
The installation of Example database did not complete properly or the database was not installed as an administrator.
Resolving The Problem
Due to increased security settings on Windows 7, you must follow these steps to resolve this issue.
Option 1:
Install the Example Database as an Administrator
Option 2:
Choose the option to Run as Administrator when you install the Example Database if you are a member of the administrator group
