How do you enable the Drawing toolbar menu in IBM Rational Rhapsody 7.6.x?
Cause
If the entries present inside Rhapsody.ini file become corrupt, the drawing toolbar menu will not be enabled.
Answer
To enable the drawing toolbar, apply one of the following solutions (in the order they are presented) until the problem is resolved.
Solution 1:
- Navigate to the Rhapsody installation directory
- Open the rhapsody.ini file in edit mode.
- Check if the Drawing toolbar entries are set as follows:
[CommonDrawingToolbar]
DOCKED=1
VISIBLE=1
Solution 2:
- Close Rhapsody
- Navigate to the Rhapsody installation directory
- Delete the existing rhapsody.ini file
- Launch Rhapsody.
Note: This will create a new Rhapsody.ini file with default values.
Solution 3:
- Perform a complete and clean un-installation of Rhapsody application by removing all folders, rhapsody.ini files and registry entries
- Reinstall Rhapsody
