Error description
When attempting to change the state of a path for a dac device, an error message indicating an illegal option is displayed: # chpath -s disable -l dac0 -p fscsi0 Method error (/etc/methods/chggen): 0514-011 Invalid arguments. /etc/methods/chggen: illegal option -- W /etc/methods/chggen: illegal option -- s The chpath command fails, and the path state remains unchanged.
Local fix
Do not run chpath against the dac devices. Run rmpath to either delete the path, or to put it into a defined state.
