Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of WebSphere MQ for z/OS Version 7 * * Release 1 Modification 0. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: After applying PTF UK95383 (APAR * * PM86913) the queue manager may become * * unresponsive to commands after the * * RESET QSTATS command has been issued. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** APAR PM86913 introduced a problem in CSQM1RQS (the RESET QSTATS callback routine) such that it tries to get a latch on a shared queue's IVSA.csObjectLatch and if it fails then it retries after the retry_wait interval. However this variable has been declared incorrectly and therefore the intended 20ms interval is calculated to be a very large value causing the queue manager to become unresponsive to commands. While in this wait applications may experience delays during open queue processing.
Problem conclusion
CSQM1RQS has been changed so that retry_wait is correctly defined. 100Y CSQM1RQS
