Question & Answer

Question

SCA/MCF/MCSF 7x/8x: How to stop Health Monitor agent from doing "Collect Pending Jobs"?

Answer

The Health Monitor agent, apart from heartbeat (stale entry) clean up, can also be configured to collect a number of pending jobs for transactions used by the solution.

For example, while running Health Monitor, if scheduleOrder is used by the customer, Health Monitor also does a COUNT () on the YFS_TASK_Q (because this transaction is task_q based) table with TRANSACTION_KEY=' SCHEDULE.0001'. This count value is the number of pending jobs for SCHEDULE.0001 transaction.
To stop Health Monitor from collecting such pending jobs for all transactions used by the solution, customer needs to set the criteria parameter 'CollectPendingJobs' to N (by default the value to it is Y) for ALL transactions used by the solution. Refer the screen shot below to know where to set this criteria parameter to N.

To understand the impact of setting this flag (CollectPendingJobs) to Y, please refer to the article NFX6902.
