Question & Answer
Question
How to set the housekeeping fields (CreateUserId, ModifyUserId, CreateProgId etc) through an API?
Answer
There are 7 housekeeping fields in each table of the SSCAP, which are CreateUserId, ModifyUserId, CreateProgId, ModifyProgId, CreateTs, ModifyTs and LockId. The values in all the fields are all system generated, and there is no handle in any API to be able to set values in any of these fields (setter methods to any of these fields are not exposed).
If a requirement exists to store a UserId, ProgramId etc, we would need to extend the table to add a new column (refer to Chapter 7 of the Customization Guide, Titled 'Extending the Sterling Multi-Channel Fulfillment Solution Database' for more details on how to add a new column). This new column can be used to store the additional data.
