Error description
The following problems are addressed with this APAR 1) When an Archive set is expired, the recovery process loops on the error message EUMTAP0530E from IBM Tape Manager 2) Control Center left the database in STATUS = Startup, SQMODE= Recovery failure. You must go into Control Center and change the Status to NORMAL NORMAL. 3) After failed recovery, ARCHHIST file marked the expired tapes as 'Recovered', but they were not actually used. 4) After failed recovery, Status information indicates that the RECOVERY of TEST2 has completed successfully! 5) When IBM Tape manager is not available, the recovery process loops on the error message EUMTAP0085E 6) Recovery with server in log mode 'Y', returns message SQMA0045I "ERROR trying to update TEST2 TAPES file. ARCHHIST File not updated" 7) Changed CC/VM tape set initialization from server startup to initiation of an Archive. 8) Modified Recovery Restore Report to annotate expired tape sets or tape sets not in TAPES file

The restore sets will always be numbered from 1 up, from the most recent archive to the oldest.
