Error description
CHINIT is issuing an ABEND 5C6-00A30064 (Free lock failed) in CSQTOFLT when adding a subscription to a topic to publish on a remote queue. When the subscriptions are deleted the problem dissapears. QMGR has a QALIAS for SYSTEM.ADMIN.QMGR.EVENT which has a target queue of topic MQMA_TOPIC_QMGREVENTS. There is a subscriber to this queue, MQMA.SUBSCRIPTION.QMGREVENTS.MB, which has a destination queue of MB.ALIAS.MQMA.EVENTS but no such queue of this name exists. Channel SYSTEM.ADMIN.SVRCONN checks for the presence of queue SYSTEM.PROTECTION.POLICY.QUEUE, but the queue does not exist. As the queue-manager has queue-manager local events enabled, an 'Unknown Object Name' event message needs to be generated. However, when the queue- manager tries to publish to the subcriber queue for MQMA.SUBSCRIPTION.QMGREVENTS.MB, MB.ALIAS.MQMA.EVENTS, MQRC_UNKNOWN_OBJECT_NAME occurs and there is another attempt to generate an an 'Unknown Object name' event message. This leads to a loop in processing, which eventually ends with the 5C6-00A30064 abend.

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of WebSphere MQ for z/OS Version 7 * * Release 1 Modification 0. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Abend 5C6-00A30064 occurs in * * CSQTLPLM.CSQTOFLT when generating an * * event message, and the event queue has * * been redefined as a topic alias. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** While opening or putting to a queue, an event message was generated and put to the event queue (e.g. SYSTEM.ADMIN.QMGR.EVENT, SYSTEM.ADMIN.PERFM.EVENT). The event queue had been redefined as a topic alias, and so CSQMTPUT was called to deliver a copy of the event message to each subscriber. However while putting to a subscriber's destination queue an error occurring that resulted in an event message being generated. This was also published and failed to be delivered in the same way, causing another event message to be generated. After recursively generating event messages, a further error occurs, resulting in a lock being released twice and causing the reported abend to occur.
Problem conclusion
Publish processing is changed to detect when it has been called to publish an event message, and to skip generating further event messages as part of the publish operation. 100Y CSQMIARC CSQMOPNI CSQMTPUT
