Error description
The SB0A abend is occurring as CSQMEOTC is issuing a CIRB with IQETCB set to an invalid TCB address, x0000081F. The reason for this is that CSQMEOTC is at V710 and is expecting a control block (the BLOA). . The invalid TCB address in R4 is occurring due to the fact that there is an incompatibility between the MQ code in the application address space and the code in the queue-manager (CSQMEOTC is loaded by the queue-manager into global storage and executes in the application address space). Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of WebSphere MQ for z/OS * * Version 7 Release 1 Modification 0. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: 5C6-00E50050 due to a problem with * * recovery processing in CSQMEOTC when * * handling an SB0A ABEND. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** An SB0A abend occurs when the CHINIT address space EOT processor CSQMEOTC passes an invalid TCB address on a CIRB create IRB call. The TCB address is obtained from the BLOA control block, The invalid TCB address arises due to an incompatibility between the MQ code in the application address space and the code in the queue-manager. In this case the application address space is at V600 level, but the queue-manager is at V710. The V710 BLOA field AC_ConsumerTCB which is expected to contain the TCB address is at an offset past the end of the V600 BLOA which was passed to CSQMEOTC. Subsequent recovery processing in CSQMEOTC fails with message CSQV086E reason 00E50054 because a local lock is retained too long, preventing later recovery processing from running. The queue-manager terminates abnormally. . Additional keywords: MSGCSQV086E
Problem conclusion
CSQMEOTC recovery processing has been updated to release the local lock earlier, allowing later recovery processing to complete normally. 100Y CSQMEOTC
