Problem

YFS10136 error (Setup for order modification permissions missing) thrown for ModificationType="CHANGE_PROMOTION" for return orders.

Symptom

Details:
Currently, Promotions feature is not available for Return Orders (RETURN_FULFILLMENT pipeline), hence there is no ModificationType="CHANGE_PROMOTION" on RETURN_FULFILLMENT.

In a certain scenario, during return Order creation, the changeOrder call failed with error
"YFS: Setup for order modification permissions missing for ModificationType="CHANGE_PROMOTION" on RETURN_FULFILLMENT".

Resolving The Problem

Solution

Solution:
After analysis it was observed that while recording Audit details for the changeOrder call an incorrect query was fired for ModificationType=CHANGE_PROMOTION for Return Fulfillment.

This was due to incorrect reference to CHANGE_PROMOTION on Return Fulfillment in environment.
After removing all the incorrect CHANGE_PROMOTION entry on Return Fulfillment the issue was resolved.
OOB product does not have any CHANGE_PROMOTION entry on Return Fulfillment.
