Error description
CSQX514E CSQXREPO Channel XYZ.XX is active on CSQ1 CSQX053E CSQXFFST Error information recorded in CSQSNAP data set CSQX448E CSQXREPO Repository manager stopping because of errors. Restart in 600 seconds CSQSNAP information: * X...XFFS* *rrmRepository...................* *MOVR.........>}.X...XINS........* *................................* *................ * * ...üFailing message.....* *...........2....................* *....................qmgr * * * Change team found CSQX053E is issued because of the top message on the SYSTEM.CLUSTER.COMMAND.QUEUE (SCCQ) which is a resume cluster command for the cluster xxxx. Under certain circumstances the command causes a channel to be restarted, but because the channel is already started message CSQX514E is issued and the repository manager stops because of the errors.
Local fix
Make the channel inactive or stop it. If this does not work, remove the top message from the SCCQ.
Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of WebSphere MQ for z/OS Version 7 * * Release 1 Modification 0. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Issuing a RESUME QMGR CLUSTER command * * may result in the resume not completing * * successfully and the repository manager * * stopping. This is due to the processing * * failing to start a cluster channel, * * with message CSQX514E, along with snap * * dump and the repository manager * * stopping with message CSQX448E. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** The RESUME command may attempt to start associated cluster channels if the queue manager has previously been suspended with MODE(FORCE) from all other clusters it is a member of. In the case where the channel being started is already in a non-stopped state, the start will fail as the state shows it is already in use, shown by CSQX514E. As this error is not expected, the resume processing will fail and a snap dump will be taken. This error also causes the cluster repository manager to stop.
Problem conclusion
Processing for resuming the queue managers membership in the cluster has been changed to handle the case where the cluster channel is already in use, if it attempts to start the channel. This stops the snap dump from being taken and the cluster repository manager from stopping in this case. 100Y CSQXRRMF
