Restart the queue manager that attempted to recover the CF structure and is still connected to the structure. Then issue the RECOVER CFSTRUCT command for the structure on any queue manager in the QSG.
Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of WebSphere MQ for z/OS Version 7 * * Release 1 Modification 0. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Auto recovery of a CF structure does * * not complete. No messages such as * * CSQE135I and CSQE131I that * * respectively show the progress of * * recovering the structure, and that * * structure recovery is complete, are * * issued for the structure in question. * * The queue manager remains connected * * to the structure and the structure * * status is INRECOVER. Attempts to * * recover the structure with the * * RECOVER CFSTRUCT command on the * * queue manager that is connected to * * the structure fail and message * * CSQE102E (structure not in failed * * state) is issued. Attempts to recover * * the structure on any other queue * * manager in the QSG fail and message * * CSQE101I (structure in use) is issued. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** When auto recovery starts for a CF structure, CSQERCFT stores the address of the STRB for the structure being recovered before connecting to the structure. In some cases, such as when a previous recovery attempt has failed and auto recovery has been rescheduled for the structure, this STRB can be freed, and possibly reallocated for use by another structure, before it is used by CSQERCFT to locate the structure's BRCB. This can cause a failure to copy the BRCB address for the structure into the EUWH BRCB array, causing the structure to be excluded from the rest of recovery processing, including disconnecting from the structure at the end of recovery. The queue manager therefore remains connected to the structure and the structure remains in INRECOVER state.
Problem conclusion
CSQERCFT has been updated to ensure that a valid STRB address is used for each structure being recovered. 100Y CSQERCFT
