Summary
License Authorization Wizard does not launch - troubleshooting steps
Environment: Windows, MacOS
Objective
This instruction is provided only for Authorized User license. For Concurrent User license type please read the Administrator Guide.
Steps
- Windows:
Solution A
Click Start menu, select All Programs. In your list of programs, you will see a folder SPSS or IBM SPSS Statistics. Open this folder. You should see a program called either SPSS License Authorization Wizard or IBM SPSS Statistics License Authorization Wizard. Right-click on the License Authorization Wizard icon, and choose Run As Administrator.
Solution B
If the above solution does not work you may try by activating SPSS license from the command prompt (Authorized User)
Solution C
An alternative solution is creating manually license file. You will need a license code to perform this operation.
Other
- Ensure that Antivirus software installed on your computer is not interrupting launch of SPSS Statistics License Authorization Wizard
- Consider reinstalling the software. There is a chance that your installation is corrupted.
- Ensure that your Windows account permissions are sufficient. You may try to run License Authorization Wizard by a hidden Administrator account. Learn here how to enable it. - Mac OS,
