Troubleshooting
Problem
getNext Task behavior of updating the TASKS_AVAILABLE = 'N'
Symptom
Why are we setting this tasks_available to "N" ? What is the need of
changing this parameter ?
I saw that there is an API
markTaskAvailability which can be used to change the tasks available to
"y".
Resolving The Problem
getNextTask works around a set of task selection conditions (user driven).
As soon as getNextTask finds ZERO tasks, it marks the Tasks_Available = N in
the YFS_User_Activity table. This is done in order to make a note of the fact
that the particular user has processed all his last set of tasks (aka. Last
User Activity).
In our own Yantra Mobile Application, where
getNextTask is extensively called, we call the markTaskAvailability API to set
Tasks_Available = Y. This is done in the following places in our RF ...
-
The Menu JSP
- Task Controller JSP
- While starting Cart Pick
- In User-Driven Putaway
