Problem conclusion
DFSMShsm has been enhanced to support DFSMShsm Filemode hosts that coexist in the same LPAR as existing DFSMShsm hosts. The Filemode hosts will only process UNIX files. New Start parameter, HOSTTYPE, is introduced to indicate which type of DFSMShsm host is being started. New TSO commands, HSENDU, HBACKU, HBDELETU, HCANCELU, HLISTU, HQUERYU, and HRECOVU are introduced to allow direction of UNIX file requests to the DFSMShsm Filemode Host. This New Function APAR also enhances DFSMShsm as follows: Honor SETSYS USECYLINDERMANAGEDSPACE(Y) for UNIX file backup copies. (H)CANCEL REQUEST for a UNIX file BACKUP or RECOVER request will now cancel all matching spawned MWEs instead of the only the first request found. Documentation updates for the new function can be found in: http://publibz.boulder.ibm.com/zoslib/pdf/OA52703.pdf and has been provided for the following publications: z/OS DFSMShsm Implementation and Customization Guide (SC23-6869) z/OS DFSMShsm Managing Your Own Data (SC23-6870) z/OS DFSMShsm Storage Administration (SC23-6871) z/OS DFSMShsm Data Areas (GC14-7504) z/OS MVS System Messages, Vol 2 (ARC-ASA) (SC38-0669) KEYWORDS: UNIXFILEBACKUP/K
