Manifest Client Installation: files failed to Self-Register Error pvxplore2.ocx, mscomm32.ocx. popup.ocx

Symptom

Cause

Resolving The Problem

The problem arises only in PC's not having particular files in the WINNT/system32 directory.
The solution requires only to install the missing .ocx files in the c:/WINNT/system32 directory.
These .ocx files are present in the DCS CD, or in any laptop having MS office. Just copy them onto the directory. There is no need to install the whole of the MS office package.
The command to register these .ocx and .dll files is from the DOS command prompt at the c:\winnt\system32 directory
regsvr32 <filename>

for e.g.
regsvr32 pvxplore2.ocx

You will get a message saying the registration suceeded. After registering all of the files that the earlier install attempt errored out try the manifest client installation again.
