Troubleshooting
Problem
Deleting Resource does not delete Permissions causing DB Select Failed on Apply in User Group Permissions
Symptom
If a resource is deleted, its related permissions do not get deleted.
This
causes an error when doing any other permission change on that group: "YFS: DB
Select Failed: Table=YFS_Resoucre&ResourceKey=<deleted resource>".
1.
Create a new resource -
Clone Order to CopyOrder>
ResourceHierarchy>YantraConsole>Entities>Order SAVEAS CopyOrder
2.
...CopyOrder>DetailViews>Order_Instructions>InnerPanels>Instructions>+
CREATE NEW Action +button Suffix=001/ResourceType=Action/jsp=anything.jsp
3.
Go to User Group permissions and ensure that a given group has a resource
permission setting on this reseource.
4. You should see a new entry for the
resource in YFS_RESOURCE timestamp desc
5. You should see a new entry for
the resource in YFS_RESOURCE_PERMISSION
6. Now go back to the
ResourceHierarchy screen and delete the resource. Save. Save.Close all
screens.
In 4.5 the resource permission remains in the table. and does
not get deleted.
In 5.1 the resource permission gets deleted as
well.

Cause
Resolving The Problem
Fixed in 5.0
In 4.5 the immediate fix would be to take a look in the
tables yfs_resource_permission and yfs_resource. There will be entries for the
deleted resource e.g., 'XYZYOMD020I01A01' in yfs_resource_permission but no
entry in yfs_resource for this item.
You will need to delete the entries in
yfs_resource_permission for this resource.
