Question & Answer

Question

Scheduling behavior w.r.t. "IsFirmPredefinedNode" attribute when records are present in YFS_INVENTORY_NODE_CONTROL

Answer

When a record is present in the YFS_INVENTORY_NODE_CONTROL table for a particular item node combination, the inventory picture for that particular item node combination is considered to be incorrect till the date specified in the INV_PIC_INCORRECT_TILL_DATE field. This item node combination cannot be used till this date has passed.

The following behavior is exhibited when a item node combination picture is incorrect with respect to "FirmPredefinedNode" attribute specified on the order line:

Scenario 1: IsFirmPredefinedNode=N

If the item node combination whose inventory picture is incorrect is specified on the order, the sourcing rules will be used to determine another ship node to ship the product from.

Scenario 2: IsFirmPredefinedNode=Y

If the item node combination whose inventory picture is incorrect is specified on the order, the order will get backordered.
