Unplanned Inventory being considered even after disabling the "Use Unplanned Inventory" flag.

Question & Answer

Question

Unplanned Inventory being considered even after disabling the "Use Unplanned Inventory" flag.

Answer

This can be because of the following reason. There is a flag at the Scheduling Order "Maximum no. of days order can be shipped/delivered beyond its requested date"

When this is given a date which is higher than the lead days, then this date is considered as a higher date until which options can be considered. So this flag has to be as the exact business use case. Generally, businesses set this to a high date so as not to miss any demands.
