CWMRI1028E Registration fails on new Windows or IBM i operating system host on the job manager administrative console

Troubleshooting


Problem

When registering a new Windows or IBM i operating system host on the job manager administrative console, the registration might fail if the operating system is set to []Any[].

Symptom

You might receive the following error:

CWMRI1028E: An error occurred while connecting to host <hostname>, the error is CTGRI0001E The application could not establish a connection to <hostname>.

Resolving The Problem

Do not select Any as the operating system when registering a Windows or IBM i operating system host. Select Windows or IBM i instead.
