Troubleshooting
Problem
Attempts to click the link to Change Password on the IBM Rational DOORS Web Access login page results in error message "Password change has failed: FAILED_UNEXPECTED_EXCEPTION".
Cause
The permission to change password is disabled.
Diagnosing The Problem
Use the DOORS manage user function to verify security permission.
Resolving The Problem
The following steps will enable permission to allow you to change your password:
- Log into Rational DOORS as database manager type or a user with manage database privilege
- Click Tools > Manage Users...
- Select the appropriate name
- Click Edit
- Click the Security Tab
- Check the box titled User may change password
- Click OK to close the edit user window
- Click OK to close the manage users window
