Ignore "createNestedLoadStrategy Could not create temp file" messages when updating WAR files

Troubleshooting


Problem

When updating a web archive (WAR) file that is currently deployed on a server, "createNestedLoadStrategy Could not create temp file" messages might be written to the SystemOut.log file. The messages do not adversely affect deployment of the WAR file, and even with the messages, you can update the WAR file on the server successfully.

Symptom

Messages resembling the following example are written to the SystemOut.log file:

W org.eclipse.jst.j2ee.commonarchivecore.internal.impl.CommonarchiveFactoryImpl createNestedLoadStrategy Could not create temp file for base URI [ file_path.war ] and temporary directory [ directory_path ]; creating nested strategy
...
E org.eclipse.jst.j2ee.commonarchivecore.internal.impl.CommonarchiveFactoryImpl createTempZipFileStrategyIfPossible Failed to open input stream on target [ file_path.war ].

Resolving The Problem

You can safely ignore these error messages.
