Problem
Attempts to install IBM Rational DOORS results in the install shield error "Error reading setup initialization file".
Symptom
The complete error message is as follows:

Cause
This error is usually the result of an unsuccessful download of the installer files or a corrupt executable.
Resolving The Problem
Sometimes an installer package will download successfully with no error message.
However, you will not always receive an error message during a unsuccessful download.
To resolve the issue:
- Download the installer package again to a specific location on the machine (for example C:/temp).
- Run the package from the saved location on the machine.
Note: Do not run the installer directly from the website.
