How to edit the DOORS Welcome Screen

You can set up Rational DOORS to display the Welcome Screen whenever users log in to Rational DOORS.

You can control:

• The link, company name and graphic that is displayed as Home
• The links on the Support Welcome Screen
  

1. Log in to Rational DOORS as a Database Manager or a Custom user who has the power to manage the database
   
   
2. Click View > Database View in the Database Explorer window
   
   
3. Select the Database Icon at the top of the database hierarchy
   
   
4. Click File > Properties
   
   
5. Click the Welcome Screen tab
   
   
6. Click IBM Rational Home
   
   
7. Click Edit Link
   
   The Welcome Screen Link Configuration screen is displayed
   
   
8. In the Image box, type the name of the image file to display or Click Browse to locate it
   
   
9. Enter a name for the link in Label field
   
   
10. Enter the address in the URL field
    
    
11. Click OK

To configure the links on the Welcome Screens:

1. Log in to Rational DOORS as a Database Manager or a Custom user who has the power to manage the database
   
   
2. Click View > Database View in the Database Explorer window
   
   
3. Select the Database Icon at the top of the database hierarchy
   
   
4. Click File > Properties
   
   
5. Click the Welcome Screen tab
   
   
6. Select the Welcome Screen panel to edit
   
   
7. Click Edit Section
   
   The Welcome Screen Link Configuration screen is displayed.
   
   
8. Display or hide the section by selecting or clearing Section is visible
   
   
9. In the Section image box, type the name of the image file or use Browse to locate it
   
   
10. Enter a name in section field
    
    
11. Enter the text you want to display in the body field
    
    
12. Enter a name for the link in the label field
    
    
13. Enter the address in the URL field
    
    
14. Click OK
