Maximo 7.6.1 Upgrade
Maximo 7.5.0.11 can directly be upgraded to Maximo 7.6.1
Any feature pack level of Maximo 7.6.0 before 7.6.0.10 can be upgraded to Maximo 7.6.1. We recommend you always install Maximo 7.6.1 and apply its latest fix pack/feature pack before performing the database operations of the upgrade. Maximo for Calibration with Mobile or Maximo for Life Sciences with Mobile
If you are using Maximo Mobile products on v6 with either Calibration or Life Sciences, note that the V6 and V7 requirements should include those listed above for Mobile products before upgrading your database.
If you are using Maximo Mobile products on v7.1 with either Calibration or Life Sciences, note that the v7.1 and v7.5 requirements should include those listed above for Mobile products before upgrading your database.
Maximo for Service Providers
If you have multiple v6 Industry Solutions that includes Maximo for Service Providers, it is imperative that the 7.1 Service Providers Industry Solution is installed last. This is only applicable if upgrading to 7.1.
Maximo for Spatial
If upgrading from v6 to 7.1, geographic information system applications are:
- ESRI ArcGIS Server 9.3.1 SP1 Advanced Enterprise, or Standard Enterprise
- ESRI ArcSDE 9.3.1 SP1 (packaged with ArcGIS Server 9.3.1 SP11)
- When upgrading ArcGIS and ArcSDE from version 9.2 to 9.3, it is necessary that the configuration must remain the same for the linked data to be maintained.
- When upgrading from 7.1 to 7.5, geographic information system applications are:
- ESRI ArcGIS Server 10 SP1 Advanced Enterprise, or Standard Enterprise
- ESRI ArcSDE 10 SP1 (packaged with ArcGIS Server 10 SP1)
No configuration rules.
Maximo for Utilities
Maximo for Spatial is only required to install if the upgrade is coming from Maximo for Utilities 6.3.3 or a previous version. So, if starting from Maximo for Utilities 7.1 or further, Maximo for Spatial installation is not a requirement.
Maximo for Nuclear Power
Maximo for Calibration is only required to install if the upgrade is coming from Maximo for Nuclear Power 6.3.1 or previous version. So, if starting from Maximo for Nuclear Power 7.1 or further, Maximo for Calibration installation is not a requirement.
iFix
Latest ifix for Maximo Base Services and the Industry Solutions and add-ons should be installed.
Maximo 7.6.1 Upgrade
Maximo 7.5.0.11 can directly be upgraded to Maximo 7.6.1
Any feature pack level of Maximo 7.6.0 before 7.6.0.10 can be upgraded to Maximo 7.6.1. We recommend you always install Maximo 7.6.1 and apply its latest fixpack before performing the database operations of the upgrade. While this is optional when upgrading from any Maximo 7.6.0.x before Maximo 7.6.0.10, this is a requirement if you are upgrading from Maximo 7.6.0.10.
